What is Homoeopathy?
Homoeopathy is a holistic system of healing that focuses on you as an individual, concentrating on treating your specific physical and emotional symptoms, to give long lasting benefits. Homoeopathic remedies boost the body's innate ability and tendency to heal itself.
Homoeopathy is a complementary therapy.
Homoeopathy has been widely used throughout the world for more than 200 years. In 2000, the House of Lords' Select Committee on Science & Technology cited homoeopathy as one of the five Group One therapies, having "an individual diagnostic approach" along with osteopathy, chiropractic, herbal medicine and acupuncture.1
Where does Homoeopathy come from?
Homoeopathy has been used in the UK for over two hundred years, and has an honourable tradition dating back to ancient Greece. In 1796 a brilliant German doctor, Samuel Hahnemann, developed the scientific and philosophical foundations of this gentler way of healing. These scientific principles still form the basis of successful Homoeopathic practice today.
Are Homoeopathic remedies safe?
Homoeopathy does not make use of chemical substances, and therefore has no drug interaction with other medications. This means that Homoeopathic remedies can be used safely alongside conventional prescription medication from your medical doctor.
Homoeopathic remedies are made using a unique method. The original substance, drawn from the plant, mineral and animal worlds, is "potentised" by succussion (a specific method of agitating) to form an energy medicine. The original substance is diluted to such a degree that not one molecule of the original substance can be detected (after the 6c potency), during the process of succussion the energy signature of the original substance is amplified, and the harmful effects - side effects - seen in chemical medication, are eliminated.
Who will benefit from Homoeopathy?
Homoeopathy is used with great success in a very wide spectrum of people, from newborn babies to sensitive individuals to the elderly. With Homoeopathy there is no danger of addiction or toxic side effects.2 Animals respond extremely well to Homoeopathic treatment. Physical and behavioural problems can be safely and effectively treated.
What can Homoeopathy treat?
Research, as well as clinical experience, has shown that Homoeopathy has a wide application, from acute fevers, colds and flu, to chronic illnesses such as IBS, arthritis, eczema, asthma, anxiety, chronic fatigue syndrome, allergies, hayfever, headache/migraines, and hormonal imbalances.
What happens when you see a Homoeopath?
A homoeopath understands that establishing good health involves treating both mind and body.
First Visit
Initial appointment: a detailed assessment will be made of all your physical and psychological symptoms. With your consent, a small hair sample will be taken for the Energy Analysis. This appointment takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes, after which you may go home.
Investigation: A detailed Energy Analysis will be done using a Radionic instrument. This gives a detailed overview of exactly what is going on in your system on a physical and mental/emotional level. Causes of symptoms you suffer fom are highlighted, and the best course of action for getting you back to perfect health on all levels is determined. This analysis will include food intolerance and allergy testing if they are needed.
Second Visit
Report of Findings: We go through the Energy Analysis findings step by step, with an explanation of what was found.
A course of suggested treatment is discussed. This may vary significantly from person to person, since every person's assessment and treatment is unique. It is important to find the most suitable treatment, i.e. the treatment that will yield the most benefit at any specific time.
Suggested treatments may include: Homoeopathic Single Remedies, Homoeopathic Complex Remedies, Flower Essences, Gem Essences, Reiki, Vortex-Alignment therapy, Acupuncture, Massage therapy, Bowen therapy, Hypnotherapy. If appropriate, suggestions will be made about diet, vitamin/mineral supplements and Herbal remedies.
Afterwards:
You are asked to phone in after approximately 2 weeks, and possibly at regular intervals thereafter.
Subsequent Visits:
After approximately 8 weeks, a re-analysis is done to monitor your progress and re-evaluate the treatment.
